The car received the engine from the standard model, a seven-speed preselective robotic variable gearbox and exclusively rear-wheel drive. Despite the reduced functionality compared to the all-wheel drive model, engineers assure that this version is much more fun and interesting to drive.

The engine of the Audi R8 RWS is a large naturally aspirated petrol V10 with a volume of 5204 cubic centimeters. Despite the absence of a supercharging system, the innovative gas distribution mechanism, coupled with a solid displacement, allowed engineers to squeeze out 540 horsepower at 7800 rpm and 540 Nm of torque at 6500 crankshaft rpm. Compared to the basic version, RWS has lost some dynamics. Due to loss of traction, the car accelerates to hundreds in 3.7 (+0.2 s) seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 320 kilometers per hour. With such a herd and power, you shouldn’t hope for efficiency. Fuel consumption will be 19 liters of gasoline per hundred kilometers in city driving, 8.6 liters on the highway and 12.4 liters of fuel per hundred in the combined cycle.

RWS is a fundamentally new model for the German manufacturer. It has a dynamic and memorable design, which will perfectly emphasize the individuality and status of its owner in society. This car will look great both on public roads and on the race track. The interior is a realm of exclusive finishing materials, sporty ergonomics and comfort. Also attracting a lot of attention are the large discs, which by the way are of different diameters - the front ones are 20 and the rear are 19.


From the rear, the car looks no less attractive thanks to the large spoiler, excellent optics and diffuser. By the way, the exhaust pipes are located on the sides of the diffuser and you may not see them at first, since they have a non-standard shape and fit perfectly into the overall design of the model.

The engine of the restyled version is exactly the same as the previous V8, but it already produces 10 hp. more. The V10 engine, which was offered as an additional option, remained the same and its characteristics did not change. But there is also a V10 Plus engine that produces 550 hp. and allows you to accelerate the car to a hundred in just 3.5 seconds. In this version of the engine, the maximum speed is 317 km/h. A version of a car with such an engine costs over 7,500,000 rubles, which is very expensive.

The Audi R8 engine has an all-wheel drive system, which allowed the car to achieve such good dynamics.

The car unit does not consume much fuel, the engineers made sure that the coupe was not too expensive to operate, in the end it turned out that the engines consume 12-15 liters of good 98 gasoline per 100 kilometers, but the problem is that such consumption This happens only when driving calmly, and this car is unlikely to be bought specifically for this driving style, and it turns out that when driving dynamically and quickly, the car consumes 2-3 times more fuel.


Subsequently, a completely different S-Tronic transmission with 7 steps was installed on the new version of the Audi R8 2018-2019, but a 6-speed manual gearbox is also available in the restyled version.

Unlike many sports cars, the interior turned out to be very good and beautiful. The interior had a lot of aluminum and carbon parts, this was done as decoration, but also to make the car look as sporty inside as it does outside.


The interior contains many elements for a comfortable ride, such as a multimedia system, climate control, rear view camera, electrically adjustable mirrors and seats, etc. That is, the interior was made in such a way that the sports car could be used on the highway, but also easily moved around in the city without any special difficulties.

For music lovers, the coupe has 12 speakers in the cabin, which provides simply amazing acoustics.

The interior of the Audi R8 2018 uses only high-quality materials, such as carbon fiber, leather and Alcantara. The build quality is of course at the highest level, the steering wheel has multimedia controls, and the dashboard has a large display, or rather, it is a large display, which displays absolutely all the information about the car, from the speedometer to the navigation system. The center console houses beautifully designed climate control controls. The car has become more comfortable, as the manufacturer has slightly increased the space and added a little comfort.
